Synopsis

Abstract

This IDC study identifies the five areas where certification can most beneficially integrate with partner programs and identifies industry best practices for ensuring maximum value for that integration. Training and certification is increasingly becoming a core element within a well-structured partner program, both as a tool for measuring partner commitment and as a rationale for delivering appropriate resources. This document concludes with recommendations to help vendors successfully leverage certification programs into partner management activities.

"Vendors must integrate their training and certification programs more tightly with their partner programs to capitalize on the value of certification to all stakeholders," says Cushing Anderson, program director, IDC's IT Education and Certification research.
