This IDC study presents the 2004 actual revenue of the worldwide and U.S. markets for talent acquisition and staffing services, comparing growth over the prior year to 2003, and a five-year forecast. The market for talent acquisition and staffing services demonstrated solid growth in 2004, and there are early indications that this trend will continue for 2005. An improved employment outlook in North America fueled much of this growth, as there are already signs that fewer viable candidates are available to fill key positions in a number of industries. However, the effects of hurricanes in the United States are likely to elevate the jobless rate on a temporary basis through the rest of this calendar year.
