Abstract

This IDC study presents the results from IDC's Australia Digital Home Consumer Trends and Attitudes Survey, which was conducted in September 2005. Covered in this study are key consumer technologies, including video, audio, gaming, and home networking. The primary purpose of this study is to examine users' ownership of, awareness of, and intention to purchase new consumer technologies.

"The survey results point in the direction of a growing consumer awareness and ownership of new consumer technologies. Australian consumers are generally excited about and interested in new technologies, and some consumers are broadening their choices by experimenting with new channels of content distribution," says Sophie Lo, research analyst, Consumer Digital Markets, IDC Australia.
