Introduction
100 senior IT and broadcast production executives at leading broadcasters and channel operators across Europe were interviewed. Datamonitor sought to understand what is driving expenditure and investment at European broadcasters.

Scope
100 broadcasters and channel operators across Europe. Respondents were from: 26% Germany, 23% France, 22% UK,14% Spain, 12% Italy and 3% Belgium.
In terms of company size: 17% generated revenues or received state budgets above $500m, 23% were $50-500m and 60% were below $50m
Highlights
Broadcasters are increasingly confident about their ability to invest in new (as well as existing) technology next year. Of those interviewed 92% of the IT/broadcast production executives expect their budgets to remain constant or increase for 2006 - the Spanish market is the most confident of those surveyed.
