Growth Market Rankings: Middle Market -- 2nd Half 1999Published by: In-Stat Published: Jul. 1, 2000 - 41 Pages Table of Contents
AbstractThis report details the requirements of network hardware vendors addressing the middle market, offering research and insights on the middle market itself. In the second half of 1999 the unique requirements of mid-sized businesses became more apparent and vendors became a bit more focused on targeting this group specifically. The top five shifted a bit between 1H and 2H, with 3Com and HP taking a much more targeted approach to this market. As a result of its powerful small office-networking infrastructure, 3Com edged out Cisco as the leading vendor networking mid-sized businesses, claiming the #1 slot by a very narrow margin. Cisco's focus on the segment is unquestionable, with the firm's score increasing a bit between the first and second half. Similarly, Nortel's score in these rankings increased rather significantly, as the firm focused more on the middle market, launching a distinct small-business unit. Intel's ranking actually fall dramatically from #2 in the first half to #4 in the second half, mainly the result of waning focus on the middle market. Get Full Details About This Report >> |
