The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 further stunted the recovery of the travel industry, particularly the international and business travel segments. But in 2003 the industry began to rebound, especially for domestic vacation travel. While more people are traveling, there is a growing trend towards shorter vacations and a tendency for consumers to book trips closer to the date of travel than before. There are a variety of factors at play in this change. The economy affects travel choices in terms of cost, while employment uncertainty influences shorter trips.Get Full Details About This Report >> |
