The company manufactures highly engineered anti-friction bearings, alloy steels and related products and assembles and services them. It classified its business operations under two groups, the Steel Group, and the Bearings and Power Transmission Group (B&PTG). The company's B&PTG are further divided into three sub-segments, such as, Mobile Industries, Process Industries, and Aerospace and Defense. Furthermore, Timken provides wide range of friction management product and maintenance services, such as lubricants, seals, bearing maintenance tools and condition-monitoring equipment. These company's products overall improve the operation and life of machinery and equipment. In addition, the company manufactures power transmission components and assemblies, systems for helicopter transmissions, alloy steel, customized bars and tubing of finished and semi-finished steel components. It carries out its operation in 29 countries and territories, from 52 manufacturing facilities, 106 sales offices, nine technology and engineering centers, and 14 distribution centers and warehouses. The company is headquartered in Ohio, the US.
