Algeria Country Profile 2010

Algeria’s number of fixed lines has been growing at an average of 9.1% in the last 5 years, to reach 3.2 million at the end of 2008. It is expected that the number of fixed lines will grow by an average of 5.0% over the next 5 years to reach 4.1 million subscribers at the end of 2013. Nevertheless, this growth trend will be highly dependent on the re-entry of a second fixed operator in the near future.
