Collection/AR Specialist - ref. #5/21/13
This role at MarketResearch.com is a full time, permanent position as Collection/AR Specialist to assist with the cash collection of our clients globally within The America’s, Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific etc. Role • Monitoring and contacting clients who are overdue with payment; creating priority call lists according to the location, value and age of debtors • Working solely within our CRM system, effectively managing work flow processes to ensure prompt and thorough responses to client queries and maintaining complete records of customer contact • Contacting client by telephone, email and letters (For International clients contact should be at least 80% by telephone) • Providing copy invoices / credit memo’s as needed • Amending invoices / creating consolidated invoices as per client request, following company SOP • Liaising with clients to gather payment proof, payment instructions etc. • Providing payment instruction, credit requests, billing detail changes etc. to Accounting using CRM system • Escalating accounts internally to resolve any client issues • Recommending accounts for service suspension • Recommending and preparing accounts to legal stage • Working with internal departments (Sales, Customer Service etc) for effective cash collection and problem resolution • Checking new orders for completeness (payment terms, invoice issued, po validity etc.) • Provide cover for AR Manager for issuing of monthly client Statements • Provide cover for AR Manager when absent for handling special invoicing / reporting for clients including:  Proforma invoicing  Amendment of existing invoices  Creation of usage reports, including MRDC transfers  Creation of manual consolidated invoices (where Solomon can not support the requirements) • Daily Cash application to Customer Accounts (download banking files, create detailed payment application log, apply to customer account using Accounting software Solomon) • Research of any unidentified cash to ensure end of month reconciliation • Processing of small balance write-offs, currency differences • Management of Prepaid / Refund account schedules (including client liaison) Essential skills/Experience • Experience of credit control environment • Experience of working within a CRM / Collections Tool • Knowledge and experience of using an Accounting system, Word and Excel • Strong resolution and communication skills • Numerate • Have a tactful yet tenacious approach when dealing with clients • Knowledge of the online business would be desirable, but not essential Abilities and Judgement • Friendly and professional telephone manner • Excellent organisational skills • Not afraid to pick up the phone and speak with all levels of client representatives • Ability to multi task • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines • Ability to adapt within a changing environment • Ability to manage time according to time zones to be covered across portfolio • Team player Other Personal or General characteristics • Methodical • Proactive • Flexible

MarketResearch.com is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to work in its corporate office in Rockville, MD. The ideal candidate will be a highly talented and competent professional able to work both independently and collaboratively. The Software Engineer’s role is to build and maintain the organization’s portfolio of web services and applications. This includes designing, building, and implementing new web services; integrating web sites with back end applications; migrating legacy applications; and performing day-to-day administration of the organization’s web portfolio. Use of a variety of web development languages is required. This is a senior role in our development team, reporting to the Director of Software Engineering. Responsibilities • Create, maintain and expand the company’s portfolio of market intelligence web platforms and services. • Analyze requirements and develop functional and technical specifications. • Develop, test, maintain, and document web-based and standalone applications. • Work with database developers to design, develop, and update databases as they relate to web applications. • Conduct research into current and emerging web technologies and issues in support of web development efforts. • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing web applications and sites. • Ensure security of all web sites and related applications. • Perform periodic code audits. • Participate in setting organizational web development strategy. • Track and update bugs, enhancements, and source changes in source control and bug tracking software. • Other duties as necessary.
