SK Telecom has launched convergence growth strategy for enterprise and SMEs: IPE (Industry Productivity Enhancement) by which SK Telecom attempts to create converged B2B business models. By integrating their mobile technology leadership, SK Telecom endeavors to become 'Global ICT Leader' by 2020 by generating $17 billion revenue from their IPE business portfolios and increasing oversea revenue share by 50% of total, as well.
By adopting mobile connectivity and sensing technologies, SK Telecom will implement B2B services for enhancing the productivity with innovative mobile convergence models to help enterprises, public services, and industry participants working in following fields;
Logistics,
Merchandising and Distribution Service,
Finance,
Education,
Healthcare,
Transportation,
Construction,
and general enterprise services for SMEs.
IPE Strategy driven by B2B and Enterprise Customer oriented services is guided by the logic that creating new convergence services allow both enterprise customers and Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) to deliver core values. While most convergence models devised in the past could be cross-border approach, which failed to meaningfully reach collaboration relationships, SK Telecom emphasizes clear understanding for Win-Win partnerships to impact on market dynamics.
In fact, SK Telecom launched another strategic program called 5nGINE securing IPR technologies and will apply following technological scopes including 5nGINE practices to enhance productivity for enterprise customers.
