Since 1978, Technology Futures, Inc. (TFI) has been conducting technology/market forecasts, and they have developed several techniques and methodologies that can be categorized by the different ways people view the future. While there are advantages and shortcomings to every approach, these vantage points provide validation in much the same way that a navigator uses different reference points in plotting a course.
