Our Industry Reports initially consider thousands of patents and then further narrow the evaluation to patents that are specifically relevant to the industry standards (such as WiMAX and LTE in the case of telecommunications) or definitions of each industry, such as CleanTech (we mapped patent claims coverage in Biofuels, Fuel Cells, Electric Vehicle - Battery Temperature Management, Electric Vehicle - Capacitors, Electric Vehicle - Motor Control, Geothermal, Lithium Ion Battery, Tidal/Hydro Power, Solar and Wind Power).

Each independent claim of each relevent issued patent was then ranked and rated by an experienced patent attorney based on claim scope, design-around protection and infringement detectability effort. Includes Interactive Keyword Map, Claim List with full claim language for all independent claims, and a copy of each patent analyzed. Our Selected Patent Portfolio Reports are grouped by assignee name, or investor group, or controlling party. These are often portfolios believed to be controlled by Non-Practicing Entities (NPEs). Our technical team performs targeted searches to uncover thousands of patents related to a given portfolio. These patents, and often pending applications as well, are scrutinized and reviewed for their claim coverage and relation to a particular portfolio. After thorough analysis, relevant patents and applications are grouped into technical categories based on their claims coverage. Each Selected Patent Portfolio Report includes an Interactive Freedom to Operate Map, offering a visual representation of technology categories, scope concepts and keywords contained in the portfolio's patents,a Claim List with full claim language for all independent claims, and may also include a Deep Web Harvest comprising sample reference documents relating to the portfolio and File Wrappers.
