On the other hand, the products that are hard to replicate, such as concrete pumpers, concrete mixers, refuse trucks, vacuum tank trucks, and tow trucks, have more engineering in the design of the unit, resulting in a higher average unit price. Quite often the manufacturers of large custom trucks are also chassis manufacturers. By contrast, for standardized vehicles the chassis and body participants are most often separate industries, where the chassis is supplied to the body fabricator to complete the vehicle.
