The Home Depot—Shopping More or Less, and Why, June 2007Retail Forward, Inc.June 1, 2007 6 Pages - SKU: RETF1515874 |
| Monthly shopping frequency at The Home Depot is off sharply from last year. This in large part is because the drop off in home buying has translated into fewer home improvement projects. It also appears the retailer is having difficulty delivering on its “We Can Help” brand promise. Those shopping The Home Depot less cite poor customer service levels and a difficult shopping environment as key reasons. Many of those shopping more say a Home Depot store is more convenient this year, while relatively few indicate better service or easy-to-shop stores. Less-frequent shoppers tend to be older, while those shopping more skew younger and higher-income. |
