Looking at consumer durables and non-durables separately, we can see that non-durables' growth picked up to 1% year-on-year in 2011Q4, after the soft patch in the previous quarter. Meanwhile, consumer durables growth slowed sharply to just 0.6% year-on-year compared to 3.1% in 2011Q3 as consumer electronics production in the Asia Pacific region was hit by the supply-chain disruptions caused by the Thai floods.
