Establishing online identity

There is a need to provide a better method for identifying users on the Internet, and several such initiatives are burying their differences and working to converge on an interoperable identity ecosystem. The key to moving forward is to understand the nature of identity and the need for different levels of assurance at different points of application, and to develop a governance framework that will deliver confidence to all players in the environment.
