An annual trip to India is a common feature among most online NRI. Physical ‘proximity’ rather than income levels determine travel connectivity with India. Visiting family is the predominant motive for travel. Traveling to India ‘with family’ is as common as doing so individually. Two thirds of them are corporate executives, more so from Gulf and Asia Pacific. Delhi and Mumbai are the most frequented cities by NRI visitors. While over a third book their travel ticket ‘online’, the majority continue to rely on ‘offline’ methods.
