Additional Information
Though at the overall level the proportion of women net users remains the same as last year at 18%, there has been significant variation within the segment. The most remarkable change has been a more than four-fold increase in the proportion of housewives since last year - they have grown from 11% last year to 42% this year - forming the biggest chunk of online women today. The proportion of working women and women students have correspondingly shrunk - the former constitutes 40% of online women today (53% last year) while the latter comprises 13% of online women currently (28% last year).
