Job search continues to be the ‘second most’ popular activity online. A majority of online job searchers are looking for a ‘change’ in job. A larger proportion of currently employed online job searchers are working at ‘junior’ level functions. Online job searchers are relatively ‘younger’ males who are marginally better educated.Online job searchers are relatively more ‘experienced’ and ‘heavier’ internet users.They are the ‘savvier’ net users and indulge in online ‘social-interactivity’ activities relatively more. Online job searchers use the internet for many more activities (across personal, professional and e-commerce related activities) and undertake almost all of them except online stock trading more than the overall net users. They undertake ‘social interactivity’ activities (matrimonial search, dating/friendship, instant messaging, astrology and professional networking) significantly more than the overall net users - 5 out of the top 10 online activities that they undertake more than ordinary net users are online ‘social interactivity’ activities. Online job searchers also undertake blogging marginally more than ordinary net users.
