Credit card ownership among internet users is 25% - in other words, every fourth netizen owns at least one credit card. While the proportion of credit card ownership among online Indians has gone down compared to last year’s level of 34%, the fall is more of a correction because of wider reach and coverage of the survey this year into rural markets and the ‘smallest’ towns. In fact, the actual base of credit card owning online Indians has gone up from 8.43 million last year to 8.60 million currently (an addition of 1.71 lakh credit card owning net users).
