The good harvest has lead to the fact that in July began a traditional seasonal decline in producer prices, which continued until November 2009. The retail prices of vegetables were also at the level of 2008. The lowering of the retail prices started in July and lasted until November 2009. Production prices will increase, but their growth rate may be somewhat lower than in 2008. And although retail prices of vegetables will increase throughout the winter-spring period of 2009-2010, their growth rates will be low. The profitability of the vegetable growing industry, the improvement of plant breeding, the change of effective demand, the structure of nutrition in 2010 may influence the development of vegetable production.
