Krivorozhstal Integrated Iron-and-Steel Works, located in Krivyi Rih city (Dnepropetrovsk region), is one of the greatest Ukrainian steelmakers.

Krivorozhstal, as Mining-Metallurgical Works, was organised in October, 1996 by governmental decree through merging Krivorozhstal Metallurgical Works, Krivorozhsky coal-tar chemical plant and Novokrivorozhsky GOK. Thus, at present, the enterprise is characterised by availability of complete recourses production cycle and complete metallurgical production cycle that is its obvious advantage - no other Ukrainian steelmaker has own complete resources production. Krivorozhstal is the greatest Ukrainian producer of rebar from carbon steel (including heat-resistant highstrength rebar), as well as wire rod and other bar (around 20% of Ukrainian rolled steel output in 2007 and around 17% in 2008-2010).

At the company shareholders meeting on January 12, 2006, Krivorozhstal was renamed to Mittal Steel Kryvyi Rih. In 2007, after merger of Arcelor and Mittal Steel, the company name was changed again, to ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (AMKR). In 2006, the decision was taken about AMKR entering into Association of Financial-Industrial Groups of Russia. The participation in the Association can facilitate further penetration of ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih into Russian market. The Works capacities as of early 2011 were 10.6 mln tpy iron, 7.4 mln tpy crude steel and above 7 mln tpy rolled steel.
