This IDC study presents IDC's annual list of the top 10 HPC market predictions for 2013.

"In 2013, the worldwide HPC market promises to achieve its third successive record-breaking revenue year. This momentum is being heavily driven by sales of high-end supercomputers and the escalating race among nations to fund and deploy these supercomputers for scientific, industrial, and economic competitiveness. Entry-level workgroup systems have been rebounding less quickly from the global economic recession. Additional market momentum is coming from the emerging HPC market for high-performance data analysis, also called Big Data. A growing recognition of HPC's strategic importance is enabling this market to outperform most other IT markets," said Earl C. Joseph, program vice president, Technical Computing.
