This IDC study presents a forecast of worldwide multichannel pay TV subscribers across the primary delivery technology of cable TV, satellite TV, and telco TV or IPTV services. The forecast includes revenue generated by these services. Both the subscriber and revenue forecast are split by delivery technology.

"In spite of increased use of online video, consumers around the world continue to subscribe to traditional pay TV services," said Greg Ireland, research manager, Multiscreen Video at IDC. "We expect the base of worldwide multichannel pay TV subscribers to reach 820.8 million in 2016."
