"The increasingly dire economic crisis will hurt the worldwide home networking market on multiple levels, overriding many of the accelerators to the market that would otherwise prevail and heightening the inhibitors that already existed. However, consumers will increasingly look to more fully exploit their home networking assets, opening opportunities for multimedia networking applications and devices," said Jonathan Gaw, research manager of IDC's Connected Home program. |
