Worldwide and U.S. Cloud Professional Services 2014–2018 Forecast
This IDC study presents the worldwide and U.S. cloud professional services forecast for 2014–2018 and includes a segmentation of the cloud professional services opportunity by foundation market, macroregion, and cloud category (SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS). This study summarizes market trends and analyzes what has changed in the market in the past year since the previous forecast was released.
"Worldwide spending on cloud professional services is up significantly from last year's forecast. A combination of higher overall cloud adoption rates, coupled with slightly larger budget allocations for related IT consulting and systems integration, drove the majority of the increase," says Gard Little, research director, IT Consulting and System Integration Research. "In addition, between 2013 and 2020, end-user organizations are projecting a full 10 percentage-point shift in budget away from internal IT organizations toward external IT suppliers for cloud delivery models, and this is also contributing to projected market growth."
