This IDC study examines the 2008 vendor market shares on a worldwide basis for the Bluetooth semiconductor industry. The Bluetooth semiconductor market grew by 5.5% to $1.79 billion, while unit shipments increased by 20.8% to 1.18 billion units. "There was strong demand for Bluetooth semiconductors in 2008 in a tough macroenvironment.
