This IDC study analyzes and sizes the Western European CRM applications market from 2010 to 2012, with a forecast for 2013–2017. The study segments the CRM applications market by functional market (four functional markets), company size (1–99 FTEs, 100–499 FTEs, 500–999 FTEs, and 1,000 FTEs or more, government, and education), deployment model (SaaS and on premises), and Western European country.

"The Western European CRM applications market reached a total value of $5.6 billion in 2012 with a growth rate of 6.3%. The CRM market remains hotter than most other enterprise applications markets, but the high-growth segments are now related to themes such as customer experience management, digital 1:1 marketing, and real-time customer analytics and recommendations as opposed to previously where cloud-based sales force automation was the primary growth driver," said Bo Lykkegaard, research director, IDC European Enterprise Applications.
