"Despite persistent economic instability in the eurozone, total IT spending in Slovakia in 2012 increased 6.8% to reach $1.81 billion. Nevertheless, companies continue to carefully consider IT investment as well as outsourcing of IT operations. The rapid proliferation of mobile devices, in particular smartphones and media tablets, has notably influenced the Slovak IT market. It is highly likely that mobility, as one of the four pillars of IT innovation, will continue to expand, creating substantial opportunities for all stakeholders in the mobility ecosystem." – Senior Research Analyst Hana Chmelova, IDC CEMA
