Philippine SME Survey 2012: Communications Usage and Preferences
This IDC study, using results from IDC APEJ Communications Study 2012, identifies trends in usage and adoption of communication technology and services of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Philippines, as well assesses spending strategies and service provider preferences of this sector.
"Contrary to preconceived notions of the past that SMEs would prefer boxed solutions, results show that SMEs in the Philippines favor multi-vendor environments. Product strategies carrying an exclusivity theme might not work. Partnering with various players playing in the mobility and UC ecosystem in order to provide a wide range of requirements and be able to work with other vendors' platforms will be key in targeting this segment," says Karen Rondon, research manager, IDC Philippines.
