Perspective: JDA FOCUS 201 — What Have You Done for Me Lately? :Perspective
This IDC Retail Insights Perspective discusses the JDA FOCUS 2014 conference held in Las Vegas — a conference particularly well attended by JDA's customer base. Really, that is not surprising as JDA now occupies a seat at the "table of three" when considering supply chain applications to manufacturing and retail. JDA was already a significant supply chain player after having acquired Manugistics in 2006 and i2 Technologies in 2011, but it was the merger with RedPrairie in late 2012 that really cemented the company's status as a major player in this space. JDA is now an almost $1 billion company with a number of best-in-class supply chain tools across over 80% of the top 100 retailers and manufacturers, including lighthouse accounts like Walmart and Procter & Gamble. While the acquisitions and mergers of the various elements of today's JDA have all come with their various challenges, at this year's FOCUS, one really got the impression that it is now a cohesive, aligned business.
