This IDC update highlights significant events in the PC market in January. Preliminary PC shipment results for the fourth quarter are in, and healthy growth was a theme for many of the players. Preliminary annual results are also in and were much healthier than expected, with year-over-year growth reaching nearly 3% thanks to strong fourth-quarter shipments.
