Massive HPC Systems Could Redefine Scientific Research and Shift the Balance of Power Among Nations

This IDC study explores the potential impact of the latest generation of large-scale supercomputers that are just now becoming available to researchers in the United States and around the world. These systems along with the ones planned to be installed over the next few years create an opportunity to substantially change how scientific research is accomplished in many fields.
