Malaysia SME Survey: Communication Usage and Purchasing BehaviorIDCFebruary 8, 2010 69 Pages - SKU: IDC2604737 |
This IDC study uses the results from IDC Asia/Pacific Communications Study, 2009 to identify trends in the corporate data and Internet access service uptake, network expenditures, value-added managed services, VoIP usage, corporate mobility, and outsourcing by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia. It also examines the decision-making structure, budgets, and service provider (SP) preferences including the satisfactory levels of enterprises in this segment. "The global economy is showing signs of improvements, and this has encouraged Malaysia SMEs to venture forward to business growth. Nonetheless, it is a cautious step forward with emphasis on cost effectiveness while service providers continue to find the right mix of advancements in telecommunications technology and price competitiveness," says John Cheah, associate market analyst, Telecommunications, IDC Malaysia. |
