Japan Virtual Client Computing Trend Analysis by Vertical Market and Company Size Segment 2009

This IDC study (which is a translation of the Japanese report IDC #J9150103) analyzes the results of a user survey on the virtual client computing market by industry and company size. A Web survey (sample size: 998) and interviews (18 companies) were conducted. The information gathered was analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The number of systems that deploy multiple types of terminals and software is growing. As such, environments are becoming more complex. As a market, virtual client software and solutions (including thin clients) will expand rapidly. It will be effective for vendors to study and evaluate the increasingly diverse client environments in user companies in order to propose the most optimal systems.
