Japan Server 2013 Top 10 Predictions

This IDC study cites 10 major trends in the Japan server market in 2013. It gives an outlook of the changes in the market in 2013 from the viewpoints of hardware, software and network technologies, and market ecosystems, as well as discusses IT spending trends among users, competition between vendors in addition to economic and social factors.

"In 2013, enterprise customers will increasingly put emphasis on how IT can contribute to a business, rather than wasting man-hours on prying into negligible differences in the selection of server types and solutions. IT vendors should also focus on how much servers contribute to increase in return, rather than on how to reduce investment, based on the denominator of ROI, in their proposal of solutions and marketing messages," states Satoshi Fukutomi, research manager, servers, IDC Japan.
