Japan Cloud Services Vendor Business Status 2010

This IDC study (a translation of the Japanese report IDC #J10370107) presents the review of the Japan cloud services market and analyzes the business trends of the leading vendors in the market.

Cloud services are not universal or complete solutions for all IT requirements. There are issues that arise due to standardization, outsourcing, and adoption of best practice system. Vendors should disclose the issues openly and it is important to use economic efficiency as a point of appeal. "Vendors need to carefully explain the risks that may arise due to the use of cloud services. If vendors can provide a risk analysis framework related to issues such as the possibility of risk occurrence and its impact, it will help reduce user concerns," says Satoshi Matsumoto, research manager, IT Services, IDC Japan.
