Internal Datacenter Managers' Perspectives on Colocation Providers: What's Most Important?
This IDC study analyzes the results from IDC's recent Enterprise Datacenter Survey to understand internal datacenter managers' perspectives on colocation. The study's findings are from the field survey, conducted in 4Q13, of U.S. enterprise datacenter personnel to gather information on current and future trends in the enterprise datacenter market. This document is the fourth in an ongoing series produced by IDC from this field research.
"Internal datacenter managers across all sizes of organizations understand that there's value for them in working with colocation providers," said Kelly Quinn, research manager, IDC's Datacenter Trends and Strategies. "However, we found significant variations both in the wants and needs that these organizations have for their colocation providers and in the range of understanding that organizations have of how they can best leverage the IT and financial benefits colocation services can provide to them."
