IDC's survey results show that the majority of our survey respondents in engineering/construction are supporting the adoption of environmentally friendly initiatives. This trend will require engineering firms, general contractors, and owner/operators to turn to software applications for infrastructure life-cycle management, project and portfolio management, and new product development.
