This IDC study forecasts the ownership, annual shipments, and installed base of PCs, printers, MFPs, LANs, wireless LANs, and mobile phones for home offices in the United States annually through 2013, with 2008 as a base year. The estimates for penetration, shipments, and installed base for each of these technologies are presented for the end of each year in the forecast period. "Home offices have traditionally been among the most advanced technology users of any consumer group," said Justin Jaffe, senior research analyst for Small and Medium-Sized Business and Home Office Research at IDC. "They continue to set the pace for technology adoption in a variety of ways, from notebook computers and wireless networks to mobile telephones." |
