This IDC study is one in a series of IDC Customer Needs and Strategies studies that examine the ITPPM market. This study focuses on Innotas' ITPPM offerings, its positioning relative to the overall market and some of the issues confronting its customers via two user case studies to exemplify evaluation, adoption, and future plans for the use of ITPPM. The case studies include a publisher and an appliance vendor seeking to improve visibility for their IT portfolios with a SaaS ITPPM solution. "There is little leeway for poor IT decision making as companies deal with 10-60%+ fewer resources than they had 12-18 months ago," said Melinda Ballou, program director for IDC's Application Life-Cycle Management (ALM) service. "These are not 'nice to have' capabilities. Effective decision making for IT projects and programs is a matter of survival in the current economic and regulatory climate." |
