European WAN Manager Survey 2009: European Attitudes Toward Green IT

This IDC study shows the results of the European WAN Manager Survey 2009. "It is clear that European companies are attaching a higher value to green considerations when making telecoms services and/or network equipment decision. Companies in the U.K. (72%) and in Sweden (68%) reported to be highly influenced by environmental issues. The manufacturing sector (70%) and public sectors (66%) reported to be most influenced by environmental issues, especially compared with the retail (62%) and transport (63%) sectors," said Roosmarijn Cornelissen, analyst in IDC European Telecoms and Networking team.
