This IDC study shows the results of the EMEA WAN Manager Survey 2011. It highlights the views of 1,450 organizations throughout EMEA. This study is one of four providing more insight in green IT, unified communications (UC) and VoIP, video, and network life-cycle services (NLS).

"With 48% of the companies currently using UC and another 26% planning to use it within one year, UC is taking off in EMEA. The wide scope of UC means that the need for managed services will increase as demand for UC increases, and this survey confirms the increasing demand for managed unified communications services such as managed videoconferencing, convergence, and IP PBX," said Sylvia Wünsche, research analyst, EMEA Telecommunications and Networking team.
