"2012 will prove to be the toughest year since the global recession started back in the latter half of 2008," said Isabel Montero, senior research analyst, IDC EMEA Unified Communications and Collaboration. "Providers of UC&C solutions will really need to up their game in order to bring in new business revenue. 2012 will also prove challenging for providers in articulating and proving the ROI for UC&C-related investments. Businesses in the region will be seeking greater reassurance for a sound investment."
