This IDC Update provides the provincial information index for China by combining IDC's database and related government statistical data in the attached Excel spreadsheet. The China Provincial Information Society Index (CPISI) reflects the IT development level of each province from the dimensions of demographics, economics, informatization, and so on. The CPISI also reflects the relative relations among the factors. Because of the unbalanced development of economic and IT levels among the provinces of China, the key point to maintain constant growth for main IT vendors and SPs is to know the provincial development, macroeconomic, and geographic factors. |
