"In 2012, the actual sales revenue of China's game market reached RMB 60.28 billion, up by 35.1% from 2011. Of that, the actual sales revenue of online game market reached RMB 56.94 billion, up by 32.9% from 2011. IDC believes that the rapid development of the web games and mobile phone online games market has offered new stimulus to the growth of China's online game industry. Coupled with the continued development of large cultural industry, the online game industry will grow into a large market, exceeding RMB 100 billion RMB in the next five years," says Zhang Yanan, senior analyst, IDC China Industry Research and Consulting Services.
