This IDC study expatiates on the current status of the China business process outsourcing (BPO) services market as well the competitive landscape in 2011. After more than 20 years of development, the China BPO business has stepped into the development stage. IDC predict this market will have a stable growth in the next five years due to the business boom of a large number of SMBs. Global vendors dominated the procurement market and the finance and accounting (F&A) market. More local vendors will enter the market in the future — some offshore vendors will invest more in the domestic market, and some IT service providers with industry experience and solutions will enter the BPO market, which will lead to a fierce competition in the market.
"Companies with rich professional talent, standard delivery process, wide service coverage, and rich industry experience will establish a leading position in the increasingly competitive market," says Joan Mao, senior analyst, Services and Telecommunications, IDC China.
