Call Control Update: The Shift From CPE- to Hosted-Based Voice User Base in Western Europe, 2009–2014
This IDC Insight is part of a range of documents that IDC's EMEA Telecoms and Networking team are publishing on call control. The aim of these documents is to map the installed and forecast user base of various types of call control to demographic and company data.
This study focuses on the shift from typically a CPE-based voice platform to a hosted-based voice model. As with previous related studies, it concentrates on the type of call control used by each employee and provides insight into the major drivers and patterns of change in the enterprise environment.
