Buyer Conversations: Simplicity and Reliability Never Go Out of Date

This IDC Buyer Case Study summarizes the recent two interviews IDC had with UC&C end users in the Asia/Pacific region, an Australian government department, and a large IT professional agency in China. The interviews covered multiple aspects of their UC&C solution selection, deployment, and maintenance. In this study, the key finding highlighted is that ease of use and reliability remain the most important characteristics of a UC&C solution preferred by end users, which is in line with what IDC found in the end-user survey on UC&C conducted in Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan), or APEJ, region in 2H11. In this study, IDC not only provides guidance to the end users on UC&C solution selection but also offers valuable insights to vendors and channels so that they would be able to further understand their customers in this region.
