More importantly, the Gen Y workforce, which grew up using video as a mode of communication, would want to adopt that into their workplaces as well. It is therefore not inconceivable that video would become the de facto mode of communication for businesses. However, despite compelling experience with telepresence, pervasive video remains a challenge because of the potentially prohibitive costs of setting up and managing videoconferencing solutions (e.g., telepresence), especially when coupled with issues that range from terminals to bandwidth.
